WEST Australians made a substantial difference to their energy consumption last night when they turned off electricity as part of Earth Hour... Lights, TVs and other electrical appliances were switched off across the state between 8-9pm

At the Bell Tower, it was an extra-romantic wedding reception for Donna Cole and Steve Watson who toasted their nuptuals under the stars.

The couple had changed their lighting plans just a week before their big day to be in tune with the event.
